[Oswald enters and immediately starts running his fingers over things he probably shouldn't. Curiosity getting the better of him. He pulls the glasses out of his breast pocket and holds them out while he pokes and prods elsewhere.]

These are the glasses. How much will this cost me?

[ Harry won't say anything about the poking and prodding so long as he doesn't try erasing anything from any of his boards. But the 'DO NOT ERASE' signs all over those will probably hinder that. Well, as much as a sign will hinder something.

He takes the glasses looking them over, turning them around and pondering it before going to sit at a bench that has a rather odd looking machine on it. It sort of looks like a button stamper that's been spliced with a steam punk clock. Is it either of those things? Unlikely. ]

Ten silver. [ So about half a bar of gold or $250.00. Not bad, really, price-wise. ]

[Cheaper than the non-custom versions bought at the merchant dome. So he definitely wasn't going to complain.

He pulled his hands back from what he was messing with and dug into his pockets for a small coin wallet and counted.]

I have six on me right now. I can break one of my golds tomorrow and get you the rest then. Will that be acceptable?

[If he had to hand over a gold instead, he'd be put out, but he'd do it. His window of time was short as it was and he didn't have much in the way of power to negotiate or threaten for a better deal.]

[ Harry shrugged, waving it off. ] That's fine. Whenever. [ It's not like he doesn't know where to find Oswald, right? For a bustling touristy type town, everyone seems to know where everyone else is most of the time. ]

If you want to have a seat on one of the couches, you can.

I'm fine.

[He went back to poking around for a bit, until he remembered and had a soft ah-ha! moment.]

Oh! Yes. His old TC.

[Oswald fished that, too, out of his jacket and brought it over.]

Would it be possible to transfer the information from this? I'm not really sure how they work beyond that they seem to be some sort of phone. But I know it's difficult to move contacts from one cell to another when you're upgrading unless your carrier allows you to keep the same number and pull the memory card out from the old one.

[Fledgling flip phones and cells are the name of his day and age. Ah... memories.]

Harry takes the TC setting it down on the lab bench.

I should be able to do it. Most of the data is stored in a kind of galactic cloud. That way if you accidentally destroy your TC, which has absolutely happened to people, you don't lose everything you've ever had.

[ He gets to work on these glasses, pulling tools and wires and such out of various lab drawers. ]

I'll give you an instruction pamphlet too. It's fairly intuitive once you have the basics down, but some people get easily startled and accidentally open things by mistake.

I'm certain he'll figure it out fast enough.

[You know, after the hangover.]

He's very smart. A genius, really.

Oh yeah? [ Harry will keep working and let Oswald keep talking as he does so. ] Then he should be fine.

Oh yes. He's the smartest person I've ever met. You should see all the puzzle cubes and strange things he's solved in a matter of minutes. A few of them inside seconds. And he's so knowledgeable.

If he wanted to, he could probably figure out how one of these TC things worked and build his own. But he doesn't really seem to have an interest in it. He's in forensics. Bodies. Explosives. Figuring out how things died. More what he's into.

[ Now tell Harry all about how you don't have any feelings for Ed, Oswald. He'll totally believe you. ]

I think that might be one of the few things I'm not into, so it's good we have someone here who can do that. Think he'd want a lightning gun?

A what now?

[His train of thought is properly derailed.]

It's a gun that shoots lightning. [ Well. As far as naming things go, that's...a pretty basic name, isn't it? At least it's descriptive. ]

Do you mean a taser, or...?

[ Harry does not even glance up from whatever he's doing to Ed's glasses. What is he doing to Ed's glasses? Whatever it is seems to involve a lot of wiring that while it gets picked up seems to
disappear with no real explanation after being twisted around some bit of the glass frames. ]

No, I mean lightning. Violent and sudden electrostatic discharges.

[Well... that was different, wasn't it? Then again, it was a dream. Right? Didn't really feel like one anymore, but...

He shook his head to clear it and then nodded.]

Right. So... like a downed wire arching for anything metal nearby?

[He is trying to understand the concept.]

Something like that, yeah. Exactly. Only it'll hit whatever you aim it at.

Good to know. But I honestly can't say if he'd want one or not. Probably not. At least not randomly?

No, you probably wouldn't want to surprise someone with a gun. [ Says the man who has gifted people with personalized weaponry. And coffee makers. ]

It is usually frowned on.

[And back to poking around at the bits and things around.]

That does make me wonder about personal fire arms, however. I assume they're allowed?

Oh yes. So long as they won't damage the integrity of the dome. Or you're not a minor. I can't imagine that either of those things are something you need to worry about.
