I'll spoil the surprise: just tell him, 'cause ain't no way you can break it gentle. He's gonna hate it, he's gonna be upset, and ain't no way you're gonna mitigate that 'cause he loves you. I may not be able to love, but I 'member a little of it, and I do recall how damned impossible it makes us menfolk.
