I have learned my mother lied about me. I was never a giftless poisoner.

Not all parents....want what is best for the child. Some of them want to use their child like a weapon. If your gift was stronger than that of your sisters it could be your mother wished to use it for herself...or she feared it.

How could I be a weapon, and Queen Camille was a poisoner? Would she not favour poisoners? Instead she sent me to the Arrons, who tried everything to bring about a gift I never had!

Parents can be cruel. Sometimes there is a reason. Sometimes there isn't. I am glad you found your true gift.

I have an acre of land. I want to work on developing my gift by growing food for us. Would that be acceptable?

I just want to be useful, Arthur. It may not be the greatest, or strongest gift, but I want it to be useful.
