The only downside I've been able to see through it is that I wasn't able to identify the types of spiders in it.

Well, to the nightmares being over, that's the only downside. Maybe the first day where I slept longer than ever intended, but I'd gotten into the habit of being woken up before the sun came up so I hadn't been thinking of setting any alarms.
