The Waverider and the TARDIS can't even break the time barrier here. The closest we can get is the Hopper, and that won't go back in this universe.

[ He pauses, though. ]

Why did you? [ He doubts it was just the apology. ]

Hang on. The Waverider is here too?

[Barry picks at the food a little.] Because you've got a good life here. Good people. I.. I'm happy for you.

Yeah, it's in the docks. I have no idea who has the keys though. Probably Leo at this point. Maybe Thea? [ Oh, the slight eye roll there. ]

[ Well, if they're eating, he's going to have one of those tacos. ]

...thank you. [ OH A PAUSE. ]

It was a little weird here at first. I guess some version of you that was here before was step-dad or...actual dad to most of the monsters.

[There's a small hint of a smile at that eyeroll because that.. that looks more familiar.

And then Barry might be choking to death on one of those fries because what? He coughs, pounding his chest for a second before taking a drink and then nearly choking on that.] Wait, hold on. What now? Monsters? Dad?

[ Okay, there's SOME alarm at the choking, so he'll wait for Barry to...not choke to death before responding. ]

They say monsters, but they seem more like metahumans with extra steps. And sometimes parts. [ Pausing. ] Uh, well as far as I can ascertain the you that was previously here was dating the Mother of All Monsters.

[Monsters? Extra parts?

Barry's jaw works. He starts to speak. Stops. Shakes his head.]

I.. wow. A Mother of monsters?

Yeah, shes uh. That woman who goes around in the white dresses and the hair, like she fell fully formed from a movie about a cursed video tape.

You mean Eve?

Right. That's the one.

She can turn people into dragons or vampires or werewolves. Like I can make metas with the philosopher's stone.

[Hokay. It's a little troubling that Savitar is using "can make" instead of "did make" but he'll worry about that later. Right now they're at least at peace with one another and he'd kind of like to keep it that way.]

That's.. that's a hell of an ability.


And clearly she's been screwing with me. Didn't even mention we knew each other before.

Y...eah, or? Or, she's freaked out because you're not the guy she was in love with? I mean, how would your react if an Iris showed up and she didn't know who you were?

[Oh look, it's Barry 'Jumping to Conclusions'Allen. He pauses. Breathes. Pinches the bridge of his nose for a moment.]

Right. You're right.

It's just a hell of a head trip, meeting people who know you and having no memory of it. It sounds like I had a whole life here.

I mean, I met them too? You get used to it. At least they don't expect you to be him.

Barry might just be smiling about that.
