Yeah, yeah I can meet you there. [He's not in the best spirits but he can at least get to the labs at normal speeds, coffee in hand.]

[Savitar will even slow it down to get there, so he's not waiting expectantly for Barry to arrive. Rubbing it in about his speed, not exactly his style.

...well. Not anymore.

When they arrive, he'll lead them into the pizza place, so they can eat and talk. ]

Hey. [Barry is grateful for the small favor of showing up at normal speeds. This wasn't the same as when he sacrificed his speed to save Wally, this is like losing a limb and it hurts so much.] Thanks.

I didn't know who else to talk to about this.

[vivifier]

No, I get it. [ Of all people, he definitely gets it. He doubts even the other Barry would. ]

Is it permanent, do you know? [ Because if so, maybe he can do something about that. With the stone, or something else. ]

[He gets it and Barry is relieved that on some levels they understand one another so well.] It feels like it is. [Barry rubs his wrist absently, there's a sensation of something missing that he's never been able to shake.] I keep trying to call it but it's just not there.

We can try running some tests. And scans. If it is...we can do something about it, I'm sure.

I know and we probably should. I can't just keep hoping that it's going to come back.

[He sits back and rubs his eyes because he's exhausted trying to hold things together.] I wish we could just forget what happened.

[vivifier]

I know. It probably wouldn't help much if we did, though.

[chosenbylightning]

Yeah. [A weary sound as he pinches the bridge of his nose.] I can't stop seeing him, I can't stop hearing what he said, what he did and I know it wasn't him but it was. [And now he may never feel the touch of the speed force, he may never get to run with his children like that.]

Maybe it'd be better to think of him like that more like...Reverb, back on Earth 2? Cisco, but not Cisco?

[That's a fairly good point and he nods wearily.] Yeah, yeah maybe you're right. I don't want him to hate himself for what happened because I know it wasn't him, not really.

[vivifier]

He might be a little, already.

[chosenbylightning]

I know. I'm worried about him and losing my connection to the speed force [Barry scrubs at his face again and breathes slowly.] it hasn't helped.

Let's run the tests, see what we can find? We should find out, one way or the other.

[vivifier]

It's a good idea. I'm sure it's not permanent. And if it is, I'm sure I can fix it.

[chosenbylightning]

[And that gives Barry an idea. He'd been able to share his speed with Caitlin and Cisco in order to take DeVoe down..] But maybe not with the stone.

I was able to share a bit of my speed with Cait and Cisco, if you could do that maybe it could jump start the connection?

I'm willing to try it, sure.

So we try that. [And it takes Barry a bit to describe what he did and how he did it. They're probably going to have fits and starts and it might not even work.

But it's better than simply sitting around and hoping his speed would come back.]

[vivifier]

I think I can manage that.

[He's hopeful that it'll work.]

[chosenbylightning]

Okay. Let's see what we can do.

[Barry offers his hand and he waits. He hope. Cisco didn't mean to sever his connection and he wants the Speed Force to find him again.]

[He takes Barry's hand, following the instructions he'd been given for how to share his speed. He's hoping this'll just be like jump-starting a battery.]
