I saw a sign at the store that you were hiring. I'd like to discuss it with you. My name is Steve. I have some experience in Art. I'm new here and I could really use a job.
Well, this is certainly a welcome message. Thank you. I'm Julie, owner of the paint your own pottery store that you saw the sign on. I'm looking to add on canvas painting nights, both for adults and for the younger ones. Would you be interested in running a few of those?
Nice to meet you. If this counts as meeting. I went to art school in Brooklyn before I joined the Army. My specialty is charcoal sketching, but I think I could teach painting as well. I can bring you some samples?
That could work, actually. We can do paint one night and charcoals another. Or at different times of the day. And I'm still going to teach you how to help customers pick out ceramics to paint and how to fire them in the kiln. Everyone learns that.
I'd like that. That was something that I was interested in when I was younger. The technology today is so superior to what we had when I went to art school. Long story.
That would be super. And I should let you know that everyone at work has a patch of wall they can decorate however they want. It's to let customers get a sense of who they're working with. It's not much bigger than a three by three patch? But it's something.
That's a very colorful idea. I think it will bring a nice touch and still keep the salon unique and beautiful. Gives it a touch of everything that we are, the employees and the space.
