[He arrives on time, dressed for work and movement in dark jeans, his favorite boots and a grey pullover. Nothing as put together as he wears working the Casino floor, but in his usual dark tones.]

So an art store, hm?

Yeah. Apparently the old me owned it. I love art...I miss it a lot actually. I really haven't had much time to do anything in much to long. Hopefully this might let me do so. But first, it needs a deep clean and I need to take inventory. I really appreciate your help.

[He knows he could have asked his friends from home, but he wants someone willing to work in quiet and who is careful and also meticulous so nothing gets broken. Someone able to focus. Out of all his friends, the only one he could ask was Natasha and she was busy. So he asked Leonard because he is Steve's new friend and he also fits those qualities, and he wont ask probing questions like Nat would. And Steve really enjoys his ompany and dry wit.]

With this place it looks like you've got that chance. [And if Steve needs someone meticulous and detailed, he's called the right person. Leonard takes a very detailed inventory, goes over his old books and gets his finances in proper order.

The work is almost soothing, organizing and planning is what he does best. It helps that his company is kind and doesn't need to fill the quiet with mindless chatter. They talk when necessary, but that's it and it's welcome.]

[Steve moves some displays and makes the store seem more user friendly, at least in his opinion. He even sets up an easel by the bay window where there's plenty of natural light and he can paint to his hearts content.]

I thought about maybe hosting some art classes if anyone was interested.

Shouldn't have a shortage of interested locals. [Leonard closes the last book, satisfied that the numbers are lined up perfectly and Steve will net a profit within two weeks.]

Your books are in order. The last you wasn't the best with managing his money.

I know what it means to run a place you care about. [God knows the casino has taken it's blows over the years but he's always taken the time to rebuild.] You'll do fine here.

With your help, yeah, I think I will. Ready to go get some lunch? I know I'm starving.

Lead the way. [Sure they could go to the casino and raid Mick's kitchen and the stores of food he keeps on hand for speedster and super solider alike, but Leonard would rather avoid Looks from his partner or his sister ratting him out.

So they head back outside, walking at an easy pace after a productive morning.

[Steve walks at a very comfortable pace beside Leonard on the way to the Saloon for lunch. He's very happily chatting away and asking Len about his favorite things to do in New Dodge. He's still getting settled and is curious as to what all extra outside of work their is.]

The burger I had here the other day was amazing, what are some of your favorite things here? [He asks when they take a seat and glace at the menu.



Across town Mick might be saving that picture and then forwarding it to Lisa. She needs to know too after all.]

[They chat quietly and when Leonard falls quiet, Steve doesn't press him about it. He doesn't have much beyond the Casino and taking care of Helen when Mick needs him to.]

I don't come here that often. [Most of what he eats, when he eats, is because Mick pushes food in front of him.]

[Steve gives a small hum and continue to looks over the menu trying to decide if he wants something different. Eventually he decides to just order two double cheeseburgers, one with fries and one with onion rings.]

How's little Helen doing?

[His eyes soften a little at the mention of his baby girl.] Growing fast. She's already starting to move around on her own. It won't be long before she's crawling.

{Okay, that look on his face, Steve wants to KEEP that look there. He's not sure yet how, but he does love a challenge.]

Wow. Kids grow up way too fast. I don't have much experience with them, mostly just what I remember of Buck's kid sister.

You'll get the experience here. There's been an upswing in the number of small children in the last year or so.

So I hear. I expect there will be more this year from what Bucky says.

[Leonard snorts at that, picking at the label on his beer.] Solar flares are like clockwork and I intend to be away from New Dodge when they happen this year.

Mind if I join you? Not so keen on having children just yet.

It can be a surprise, that's for sure. We get a warning from Harry when they're about to start, so when you hear from him, pack up and head to the docks. We can be long gone before they begin.
