[Well isn't that an odd question?]

Everything's fine. I just want to see you.

I finished up at the casino about an hour ago, I'm just winding down with Gideon. The doors are always open Steve.

[Instead of responding through by message Steve has arrived on the Waverider and Gideon has instructed him on where Leonard was. So in less than four minutes after his reply to Steve, said man is walking into the room.

He approaches Len and if the other is willing to let him, will pull him in for a deep kiss and a hug. But only if allowed.]

[Leonard isn't going to object to the kiss or the hug but he will cut it a little short, pulling back to regard Steve for a long moment.] What's wrong?

[Steve blushes lightly and shrugs a little bit]

I just really wanted to see you. After all the craziness the last couple days I wanted to make sure you were alright and everything.

I'm fine. [He just bites back something more acerbic like he's always fine because he isn't. His expression softens a bit and he reaches for his hand.] I would have called you if anything wasn't.

[Steve lets Len take his hand and thread their fingers together. Steve was sincere in his desire to check on Len, not because he thought the other wouldn't say something, but because he genuinely cares about him and wants to see him. He steps close again, not enough to touch because he's respectful of Len's boundaries even if he would love to just hold him tight for several long minutes.]

Do you have Helen tonight?

No, she's with Mick tonight.

Have you eaten? We can get you something out of the galley and find another movie to watch. [Steve needs something close tonight and Leonard can certainly offer him that.]

Okay, and no..not just yet. [Steve raises their joined hands and clasps his other with them, keeping Len's between his own.]

I talked to Bucky...a couple weeks ago actually. Leonard I know we're taking things slow and I want that and I'm glad we're doing that...but I want to make it clear to you that I'm pretty invested in this...just so you're aware. No pressure..no rush...we don't have to talk about anything just yet if you're not ready. I just. I need to tell you that I'm in this until you decide you don't want it. Okay?

[It's an odd statement and his head tips a fraction as he speaks before tugging his hand free to cup his jaw gently.] I'm here, aren't I? I'm not going anywhere and I don't mean to.

Is there something you need to talk about?

I don’t think we need to shout it to the whole town or anything. Or even put a label on it’s the kids say now a days. I just want to be clear that I’m in this exclusively now. I don’t want to see other people. It’s okay if you aren’t ready for that. The last thing I want to do is make you elderly pressured. I just want things to be clear that’s all.

[Steve leans into the touch and smiles at Len before blushing deep scarlet. ]

And if you are willing I’d really like to see where things go...in the physical direction. I’m not ready for everything but we’ll...you can have fun in other ways so I’ve learned.

[Leonard's nose crinkles in amusement.] If you've talked to Bucky I'm guessing that he knows about us. So does Mick and so does my sister. And I'm not one to step out on anyone.

[The next statement has him leaning in to kiss Steve thoroughly.] All you have to do is tell me when you need to slow down. [A smirk.] I intend to climb you like a tree, Rogers.

Yeah. Okay. I can do that. [ Steve is a touch breathless in anticipation even as he pulls Len into another kiss-]

I’m all for that.

Gideon, make sure the ship is locked down for the evening.

[And he's happy to tug his hand towards the galley so he can eat and they can relax together.

.. also maybe he's being a bit of a shit making Steve wait for it before they retire to his room for the evening.]

[Steve chuckles and lets Len pull him towards the galley. He is hungry and he is really looking forward to anything and everything they do.]

Hey Len. Can I spend the night?

Of course you can. [A softer kiss this time.] You can stay any time you want to. [Falling asleep with Steve beside him sounds wonderful. Perfect.]

If I didn’t have Hope I’d likely never leave.

And I likely wouldn't let you. [Leonard steps easily into his arms, kissing him and backing him towards the bed until the backs of his legs hit it and Steve is forced to sit. This time he straddles him again and kisses him hungrily.] Tell me what you're comfortable with.

[Once they had eaten it didn’t take much convincing to get Steve to go with him to his room. And when Len says he’d never let him leave Steve feels like the breath has been knocked out of him. He pulls the other close and then his sitting and Len is straddling his thighs and he has to force himself to sit still. He wants to rock up against him. Surely Len can feel just how much he’s reacting to his presence.

The kiss is filthy and promises so many wonderful things. His hands tighten a touch on Lens hips as he pulls him closer before rocking up against him unable to stop the reaction.]

I don’t think I’m ready to go all they way yet but I really want to get my hands all over you and have you do the same.

[With that Leonard takes Steve's hands and moves them to his waist, settling then on the bare skin beneath his shirt.] We've got time. [The things he plans to do to Steve. The list is ever-growing and he shifts to kiss and nip down the side of his neck. He'll give him time to get used to touching before they move on.]

[Steve lets Len guide his hands and his breath catches once again as they’re placed beneath the other mans shirt. Steve’s fingers are gentle as they travel over his bare flesh. He slides one up Len’s back and the other remains at his hip, thumb caressing the skin.

He moans into the kiss and when Len starts to trail them over his neck he gladly tilts his head to the side to give him more room.

Steve really isn’t holding any sound back at all. This is so new and amazing and Steve wants to savor every moment]

[He has no doubt that Steve can feel the scars as his hands move, but Leonard pushes those thoughts away in favor of nibbling along his jaw, trying to coax more wonderful sounds out of Steve.

Leonard rocks against his lap.]

Take my shirt off.

[Steve doesn't need to be told twice. He lets his hands trail over Len's skin even as he starts raising his shirt in an effort to get it off. The scars don't bother him at all, aside from the physical manifestation of the rough life he's been told the other man led. Steve pulls off his own shirt before pulling him close and doesn't hesitate in pulling him in for another round of deep and passionate kissing.

Steve is also rocking up against him. He doesn't hold any sounds back at all. This is intense and passionate and it's so damn good.]

[The slide of warm skin against skin is perfect and Leonard is making his own quiet and breathy sounds into the kisses and the way that he's touching and being touched.

Finally his hands settle on his shoulders.]

Lay back.
More comfortable that way.
