[Steve had heard Helen crying the night before but hadn't felt comfortable coming to knock in Len's door. He didn't want to spook or upset him. The sight of his love obviously tired that morning had prompted him to give the gift he'd finally managed to procure with the help of Cisco and Shuri sooner rather than later. He smiles when Len tells him he'll be home soon, and he's glad Helen is staying with Mick and Diana so Len can sleep tonight.]
[Steve gives Len some time to get home, settle, and relax for a few minutes before heading to the office to see him. He knocks gently, a blue gift bag in his hands decorated with tiny snowflakes. He also has a mug of fresh cocoa for Len which he promptly hands him after he's invited into the space]
[A pleased murmur as he meets Steve with a soft kiss. The mug is accepted once they're both comfortable in the office. The warm milk will knock him out soon if he's not careful.] Longer than I would have liked but I can't complain.
I worked with Shuri and Cisco...those are for me. If I go bad again you can use those to restrain me. I won't be able to break them. And they're coded to my genetic signature so they'll only work on me. They wont lock on anyone else without some serious reprogramming on Shuri or Cisco's part.
[Steve wraps his arms around Len's waist and lets him settle close if he wants too. He blushes slightly and brushes his nose with Len's.]
We can also play with them in other ways. If you're inclined. I don't mind that sort of play.
[He goes a bit more serious for a moment pulling back to look him in his startling blue eyes]
I'm giving these to you now because last night I heard Helen crying and I wanted to knock on your door and offer to walk with her for a bit, but I respect your space and I didn't want to disturb you even more. So I was kind of hoping if you had those it might not be so bad if I did knock on your door next time wanting to help you.
[He makes an amused noise, raising up to kiss the tip of his nose.] Maybe when I'm not so tired. [They haven't discussed intimacy and frankly he's missed him in bed.]
As long as I know you're coming, it's all right if you come in. [.. damn.
[Steve smiles, he can tell Len is so sleepy and he's absolutely adorable right now]
You're always welcome in my room. Even if it's just to snuggle and sleep or talk or steal a hoodie or something. I don't mind. And we can talk tomorrow if you want. Maybe we can go for a walk or something near the lake.
Then take me to bed, Rogers. [A soft smile as he threads their fingers together. Nothing bad happened in the room Steve is living in. He can sleep close and maybe it will be okay.]
As you wish. [Steve gives him a deep kiss before letting him up] Come on, lets brush our teeth and get some sleep.
[Steve goes first and then lets Len into the bathroom while he turns his bed down and slips into some pajama pants and a white teeshirt. The dream catcher is hanging on the wall above his headboard, it might actually be able to cover both of them tonight not that Steve knows really what it does.
He's sitting up in bed against the wall and is all smiles at Len when he enters and the door slides shut behind him. He intends to let Len sleep on the outside of the bed]
[Like Steve, he's dressed comfortably in soft things, but a long sleeved shirt instead. A small smile as he pads into the room and slips into bed with him. It feels like coming home, the warm weight of someone familiar and so loved beside him.
He's happy the dreamcatcher is there.
Maybe in the morning he can tell him about it, how it got into his room at the farm and why.]
[Steve waits for Len to settle before softly asking if he could cuddle and hold him. It was a little awkward and a little fumble before he settled in a position Len seemed to tolerate or maybe even like. Steve hadn't really been all that tired but lying next to the familiar warmth and weight pulled him right down into a deep and peaceful slumber, one he truly hadn't had in months.
He wakes slowly, aware of Len awake beside him already and can't stop the small smile that plays across his face. Len stayed all night. His eyes open enough for him to take in the other man and his smile widens.]
[He's never been against being held but after.. everything he can breathe a little easier being on the outside of the bed. Hands are all right on him as long as he doesn't feel restrained, but that's a hangup he's had most of his life.
Once they're settled he drifts almost immediately, waking slowly after a long and deep sleep. Leonard rubs at his face.]
[Steve shifts so he's resting his head on Len's shoulder and his arm is lose around the others waist.]
Me too. Of course I sleep better when I'm in my bed especially since that thing showed up. [He points to the dream catcher above his bed] I don't have bad dreams when I sleep with it close. Wish it was true everywhere though like a few days ago when I was the shop and fell asleep. That was awful.
I broke into the cabin and put it in your room. [He takes Steve's hand, threading their fingers together and marvelling at how different their hands are. It's easier to focus on that and not his confession.]

See you soon then.

Or maybe his little girl is just as willful as he'd been.
Still. He was happy to let her sleep with Mick for a few days.]
I'll be in the office when you come in.

How was your day?

You?

This is for you.

Cuffs. His gaze flicks back up to Steve curiously.] I don't understand.

So instead he moves in closer, putting his arms around Steve.]

That sounds just as suggestive, doesn't it?]

Yeah? [he leans into Len’s hand]
Can I kiss you?
