Fair enough. Please keep in mind; I'm am empress. My father is a trained assassin and spymaster. I wield the abilities of one known as the Outsider and have extensive training in firearms, sword fighting, espionage and magic.

Extensive meaning, since I was seven. As long as we keep that in mind about each other, we'll be fine.

oh, i undertand that absolutely, but it has nothing to do with capability. most normal packs have a line of succession by way of assassination. to protect an alpha out of a belief in their weakness is to disrespect that alpha, and the pack they represent. a Beta protects his Alpha out of love for his pack and respect FOR their ability to fight.

it's not me being a human shield 'cause of something stupid, in other words. like 'youre a girl' or 'im a big strong dude who is a badder ass.' a Beta stands at the Alpha's back, not in their path.
