[she had thought on this for a long time. Her powers are a part of her, part of who she was. She raises a hand and lets a little bit of energy play along her fingers]

There is a friend I have back home. He and I had talked about it. It was when the world was afraid of me. Even with all of the good I had done, Nick, they were afraid. I had to learn that I could not control their fear.

Only my own.

[she lets the energy play in tendrils around Nick, smiling softly]

I am still who I was before. There is simply more of me now.

If you get powers, it’s simply us loving a new part to you.

[Nick smiles, tipping into the warm play of energy as it dances around him. Wanda is right, her powers are just an extension of who she is, the woman that he and Savitar love more than anything in this world.

Does he really need powers?
If he were home, back on his Earth he'd probably say no, that it would simply complicate his existence. But he's not home and given the last thing he remembers was the bomb that was going to kill him, he can't go home. New Dodge is wonderful and complicated and occasionally dangerous as hell. He needs to be able not only to better defend himself but to protect the people he cares about like Savitar and Wanda and the two babies they share a house with.

Nick takes her hand, drawing Wanda into his arms.] I'm going to do it.

Will Savitar let me be there with you both? I don't want you alone when you go through this. I want you to have both of our support.

[She holds him tightly and kisses the tip of his nose]

Not for a while. Savitar said I'd have to think about what sort of ability I might want first. And honestly? He doesn't have the first clue at this point.

Not yet. It's a lot to take in. Maybe you and Savitar can help with that?

[She laughs softly]

Nick, I cannot decide your power. Nor can Savitar. You have something, I think, neither of us had when we received our powers.
