[Diana is in her gear and after a brief word with Steve they begin. The battle is long and difficult and everything she needed to clear her head. They're both bruised and sweaty by the time it's all over and Diana can tell Steve what was troubling her.]

I can't help Mick. Last night he drank so much I had to bring him to the clinic.

He copes with drinking or fire and I am so afraid I'm going to lose him to them both.

[Steve pulled out two bottles of water, offering one to Diana.]

I'm so sorry. What... What happened that made him so upset?

I don't know.
Perhaps it's the pressure of knowing he's going to be a father to one of the children in the pods.

[Perhaps it's her. Perhaps it's the ring she wears. She doesn't know.]

This isn't a battle I can help him fight.

I understand. Bucky... He's going to be a father too. He was afraid to tell me, I think.

[He frowns, thinking back to Bucky breaking the news to him.]

No, but we can be there for them. We can be allies.

[A startled blink at mention of Bucky being a father.] These flares left few untouched.

Allies. I like the sound of that.
I don't want to lose him, Steve. But I fear that I will one day.

Very few.

[He sighed.]

Just be honest with him. Be up front and talk to him. If you do that, you have nothing to worry about. Communication. That's what matters.

And if I push him to make a choice he is not ready for? To choose?

[His brow furrowed and he frowned slightly.]
