[He's sitting at the kitchen table, head in hands, empty whiskey bottle beside him. He hears her call out to him and he just heaves a soft sob.]

'S mine...the kid in pod 3. 'S mine and Snart's.

[Her gear is set on the rack that had been built by the door as she heads into the kitchen, heart breaking at such a sound coming from her love.

A child, but an unexpected one.
The solar flare.

Diana rests a hand lightly on his shoulder.] Your child?
Oh Mick.

I'm sorry. Never thought it'd be me. [He turns and presses his face into her abdomen holding her close.]

I'm so sorry.

Shh. [Her arms fold around him easily, one hand finding the back of his head.] This is no one's fault Mick. You have nothing to apologize for.

Lenny don't want it. He found out last night and he already said he wants nothing to do with it. Can we...I mean is it alright? I want it, Diana. It's mine and even though I know I'll probably screw it up..it's mine.

You won't screw anything up.

[Diana cups his face, tilting him up to look at her.] If you want to raise this child then that's what we'll do. You are already so good with Barry's twins.

[Mick kisses her palms and then stands up to hug and kiss her lovingly. He doesn't deserve this woman and yet she's here. She's his.]

Thanks, Love. [He heaves a heavy sigh and rests his chin on her head.]

I still gotta tell Lenny....

Take your time. You need time to process this as much as he does. [Diana loves how well she fits into his arms, smiling into his chest.] You are so good with the twins I know you would be a good father.

Never thought I'd get to be one...then when we met Antiope I thought I'd only be lucky enough to have her...maybe.

[He stands quietly for a bit after that just trying to keep himself from going off the deep end and regressing back into his old ways of deflection and possibly setting the house on fire. Later..he'll light a fire somewhere safe later where no one will get hurt but he can watch it burn....]

Would you adopt this kid as your own? I know Lenny won't mind...and it deserves two parents who love it.

Yes. I would be honored, Mick. Your child would have a safe and loving home with us and Leonard could watch over the child from a distance if that is what he wants.

I love you. [He doesn't say it often, but he completely means it when he does]

I love you too Mick. [Diana says it more often as a rule and she treasures every time Mick can say it to her.]

Now go clean up. I'll make us some lunch. [A wink.] Then you can help me clean up.

Okay. [He goes to take a shower and try to wrap his head around what Simmons told him. Never in a million years would he have thought him and Snart would have a kid together. He takes a shower and changes his clothes before coming back into the kitchen and sitting down at the table.]

You seen Jughead today?

Not since this morning before I left to train. I imagine he's with his friends. [Diana is still learning but she can put together a decent lunch for the two of them complete with plenty of water.]

That's fine, just like to have one of us see him at least once a day.

[He's been enjoying teaching her how to cook and he will gladly eat anything she brings him even if it is bad.]

Thanks for lunch, babe.

[At least it's just sandwiches? She didn't want to try for anything more complex when they both have a lot to think about and a lot to discuss.

She kisses him gently.]

I think I'll go to Barry's later, get in a little more practice with the twins. [Out will give Mick time to talk to his best friend and Diana time to catch up with Cisco.]

Alright. I should talk with Len. Even though I know he probably doesn’t want too. [gives her a gentle kiss and bites into his sandwich. It’s simple and delicious. She’s learning well.]

Give him time. Your friend is a good man and between the two of you, the baby will be strong and smart. [Diana has every faith in both men, and she may reach out to Nora to make sure that she and Leonard are all right.]
