It helps Diana to train hard for a time in the gym. Work clears her head and gives her a sense of purpose. But Mick needs her so soon after she's headed home, in need of a shower but that can wait.

"Mick?"

Mick is in the kitchen nursing a cup of coffee when Diana arrives home. He hears her call his name and responds a moment later. "In the kitchen."

He looks her over as she enters and he lets a smile break his face. This is his wife. This is part of his soul and he doesn't deserve her at all but she's here. She's still fucking here.

He holds out a hand to her inviting her into his presence if she will allow it. Even though they still share a bed it's not very warm anymore. He knows it's his fault, he knows she needs time, but he also knows the simple fact he's allowed in the bed means there is plenty of hope in repairing what he did.

Diana smiles and reaches for his hand, moving easily into his space. She's still hurt, she doesn't understand why Mick did what he did, but at her core she still loves him completely.

A soft kiss. "Hi."

He presses softly into the kiss and just enjoys holding her for a moment. "Hi. Good day so far?" He asks.

A fond smile as she strokes his scalp. "A good day. It's been quiet." So far. But this is New Dodge and as long as she's asked to be Sheriff she will remain at the ready.

"That's good. I'm glad." He says softly before kissing the back of her hand. "If I asked you to go somewhere with me off world for a few days would you be willing to do so?" He inquires after a moment eyes hoping she'll agree.

"Of course." Because why would she say no? "What did you have in mind?"

"I was wondering if maybe you wanted to...please don't get upset and you can say no and I'll be fine with that, but I wondered if maybe you wanted to meet Lita."

Diana is quiet for a long moment, her hand still in Mick's. "I can't be upset at her." After all she's helping Mick raise a little girl that isn't hers. "But.. don't ask me to meet her mother." That isn't something she's sure she will ever be ready to do.

"I understand and that's alright with me. Thank you for agreeing to meet her." He leans forward and presses his head into her shoulder. "I don't deserve ya but I love ya more than I could ever say."
