[Sorry Diana, this is one of those messages he 'might' not get. Or possibly is just trying to ignore.]

Mick you can answer me here or face to face.

[Try her, Rory.]

[Nope, can't hear you. lalalalalala]

Mick. [A sound knocking on the door.]

You can let me in or I can let myself in. Your call.

[The door opens to reveal a very, very hungover...or perhaps still drunk, Mick Rory. He doesn't speak. Just looks at her as if to say, "Yes?!"

You look terrible. What happened? Were you hurt?

M'fine.

You don't look fine.

Said I'm fine, so I'm fine. [Please leave Diana...you make him feel things and it hurts]

[Her arms fold across her chest. She will not be moved.] You're not fine. You smell like fire and you look like you haven't been sleeping.

Shower. Eat something. Promise me you'll sleep and then maybe I'll consider leaving.

[Crap another stubborn presence, he just got rid of one!]

I don't listen to orders so good. Snart send you?

[Unstoppable force? Meet immovable object.]

I came because I was concerned about you. I also have no intention of leaving until you're rested.

[Try her, Mick.]

[Mick sags in annoyance but steps back letting her inside]

I ain't right in the head, doll. You don't wanna hang around with me too much. [His tone is one of resignation, warning]

I'll be the judge of that. [As he admits her inside Diana pauses to squeeze his arm gently.]

Go on. Get cleaned up.

[Mick tries not to flinch from her touch and has to take a deep breath to calm himself and clear his mind. Then he closes the door and stands there. In the end it takes a couple minutes for him to just accept the words and move to the bathroom to take a shower and change his clothes]

[She doesn't like the way that he almost flinches away from a simple touch but Diana doesn't say anything as Mick goes back into his room to clean up. As the water runs she waits, cleaning off a spot on the couch, setting down a pillow, a blanket and finding him a glass of water.]

[Mick comes out of the bathroom in a pair of loose pants and a white tank top. His scars are on display but these are currently his only clean clothes. He should do laundry at some point....He's barefoot and his eyes are hollow as he shuffles forward towards her. He stops just out of reach and kind of looks around lost, like he's not sure what to do next.]

Sit down. [A gentle and warm hand on his elbow, steering him towards the couch where, if Mick won't resist, she'll settle him down and cover him with the blanket.] You should try and sleep.

[Mick looks down at her and then to the couch. He doesn't flinch at her touch but he does look down at her small hand on his arm]

I'm a criminal, Diana. You fix art and I steal it and fence it....or burn it. You don't want me.

I'll be the judge of what I want, thank you.

[And if he doesn't shake her hand off she'll guide him to the couch where he can rest and not be alone]

[he feels lost and unsure but he lets her guide him to the couch and he sits down]. Will ya stay?

[Her expression softens as she moves to rest her hand on a bare shoulder and guide him to rest his head in her lap.]

As long as you need me, Mick. I promise.

[Mick lies down and rests his head on the pillow in her lap. He looks up at her, uncertainty clear in his eyes. He has no idea why she is still here. They just met a few days ago...they danced all night last night.....too much too soon. His brow furrows and he has to fight to keep from hitting his head again like he had earlier. Instead he closes his eyes and tries to relax sure when he wakes she will be long gone and it will have been a drunken hallucination.]

Shh. I'm right here.
I'm not going anywhere.

[She can read the confusion in his eyes, the uncertainty. So Diana strokes his forehead with careful and gentle fingers to help him relax.

As he starts to drift Mick might hear bits of a soft lullaby being hummed.

The same song her mother used to sing to her when she was a girl all those ages ago.

She won't leave him, even if it's all night.]

[Mick sleeps for several hours before he wakes up in somewhat of a panic sitting up quickly and looking around in confusion before his eyes land on Diana. It takes a couple moments for everything to come back to him. His need for fire, Len finding him, so much drinking, Diana had come...she'd sung to him...He groans and holds his head for a moment before a yawn tears it's way free followed by the need to use the bathroom. He stands up and shuffles to the bathroom to take care of his needs before washing his hands and coming back.]

Uh...pretty sure Len left some food. We could eat if you wanna...if you wanna go that's okay too.
