Steve's off world. [A shaky breath as he points towards the door.]

Stark sent something. I know.. I know he meant well but I can't.. I can't have it in the house. I need it gone.

I can set it on fire if ya want. [Why yes, that is a slightly maniacal look in his eyes.]

Be right back. [Yeah, he's gonna burn it unless you stop him]

[Stop him? Who's stopping him?
Certainly not Bucky.]

There's a small firepit out back.

Alright. [Ten minutes later Mick is shuffling back inside]

S'just ashes now, Buck. Wanna go get some grub?

[News that it's ash is enough to have his shoulders lowering in something that almost feels like relief. He nods.] Yeah, yeah that sounds good. My treat.

Maybe even a couple rounds of darts, huh?

[Mick smiles and then walks with Bucky out side and then to town and the Saloon.]

I want onion rings and them sweet potato fry things with my burger. I can't eat 'em all, you wanna have some of either of 'em?

Yeah, that sounds good. [Already he's able to breathe easier, to put the memories back in the dark where they belong. Friends are pretty amazing like that.]

I'll totally help you with those onion rings but you can keep those sweet potatoes all for yourself, man. I can't stand 'em.

Now all I can think about is Mick almost poking Bucky with a fry saying I'm not touching you.

Sounds good. It's a nice walk to the Saloon, Mick holds the door for Bucky as they head inside.]



So, why's Steve off world?

He wanted to see the stars, see new planets. Me, I'm good here. I got the farm and a couple more weeks those kids are gonna be born so.. I didn't really have a reason to go.

[Their orders are placed and Bucky opts for a beer rather than anything stronger. He already feels less shaky about things.]

Hmm. Guess that’s good a reason as any. [Mick orders a soda and then head over to a table near the dart boards. The saloons pretty empty and he’s enjoying the lack of other people crowding the place.]

So. Just gonna day this once, ya ever wanna talk I’ll listen. No pressure. No problems. Just letting ya know.

Thanks man. [The offer is appreciated and if he's going to talk to anyone it will likely be Mick. He's become his closest friend in New Dodge. Someone who probably understands his struggles with self and identity better than anyone.

But today isn't for that. He picks up a dart and lets fly.] Same, you know?

How're Peggy and Sam?

Good. They're trying their level best to get in the way as we keep rebuilding. Cisco brought over these things called pool noodles to put on Sam to keep him from knocking into everything and busting out of his pen like he always does.
