At home with Helen.

Ok. [Less than a minute later Bucky is letting himself in. When he's in the house he can breathe easier, find his calm.]

He's here. Steve. But it's not the same, it's not the Steve that was here before.

[Mick was closing the door to Helen's nursery where he'd just put her down for a nap when he heard the front door open. He meets Bucky in the hallway and pulls him into an embrace.]

I heard. What do you need, Buck? I'm here for ya.

[He turns and buries his face in Mick's neck, drawing in a few breaths.] I don't know. He's still my best friend but that isn't the Steve from before and I don't know if that's the Steve that left me behind for Peggy.

Oh god he probably doesn't even know about Mercy and the baby.

[Mick rubs his hands up and down Bucky's back in what is hopefully a soothing gesture. He presses a kiss to the side of Bucky's head and just stands there holding him close]

Most likely not yet. He's just arrived, he likely doesn't know much of anything yet. Did you want him to stay on the farm with you or did you want him to stay somewhere else? I'm sure if he's anything like the Steve we knew before, he wants you to be comfortable and happy too, whether that means he's with you or not.

[He turns to catch Mick's lips in a kiss because even with Steve here, it doesn't change how he's come to feel about him, about Diana.]

I don't know.
I don't think.. it'd be too strange at the cabin.

Fuck. They mentioned doubles coming back, but I didn't realize what a head job it can be.

[Mick presses into the kiss and when they part simply rests his forehead against Buckys and listens]

It’s okay if you don’t know. Do you wanna sit on the couch with me? We can cuddle. Relax a bit.
