It's probably this moon thing. Sometimes powers go out of control.

Five days.

Yeah, well. At least it's not two weeks. Again.

If I get in the pool.

[ When she arrives, she'll find him in the hall of his house (yes, he has his own house, it's a long story), in his neoprene wraps and swim-clothes and holding onto an aquatic-rebreather. He hasn't had to use this in almost a year, a sort of inhaler that goes over the lower half of his face, filled with water and who even knew what else. It helped, but not as well as being in actual water would. He kind of seemed like he was in the middle of a low-grade asthma attack. ]

[ She's not entirely sure how his power works, but she's here to help. She helps guide him out to the pool. (Which now that she knows he has, she'll be over a lot more) ]

[ He'll explain when they're at the pool. The heated pool, not because he was feeling particularly fancy when he had it installed, but because if he's going to spend extended periods of time in a pool, he'd rather not be cold.

The reclined seating in the pool? Well, that's for other things. Like if he has to sleep out there.

Once they're out there, which takes somehow entirely too long for his sense of time and also not really that long at all, he squeezes her shoulder before diving in. Give him a minute, he'll be right back up to the pool's surface. ]

[ Betty still doesn't know what to think about all of this, but she's going to be there to support her friend. She can tell he's already doing better now that he's in the pool. ]

It's a really nice pool. You live here alone?

Yeah. I didn't use to, but yeah. [ he has 10 acres, Betty. TEN. ] Why, you wanna movie in when you hit 18? [ Ha ha. ]
