I know it sounds counter-intuitive but it might be best to tell him before someone accidentally drops it. He’s still Steve. He’ll know people are hiding something from him. He doesn’t need to start his time here being on the wrong side of a collective secret. It’ll make him suspicious.

Maybe coordinate telling him with Bucky?

Oh Jemma, I don't think I can be the one who tells him.

The other Steve, he was my best friend. He knew me, knew things about me I've never told anyone else here.

This guy... he doesn't know me from a hole in the wall. He's going to think I'm nuts. And I have a hard enough time explaining the situation to people here who get the whole solar flare baby thing without feeling like I'm just some slutty single mom.

Maybe Bucky will tell him. He knows Bucky. He trusts him.

I doubt Bucky will tell him without your permission. Give him permission if you won’t do it yourself.

And he’s not going to think that. Even without being here, Steve’s lived a life full of things that should be impossible.

If you want, I could be there when you tell him, help explain the process.
