I am writing to beg your indulgence, Lady Kathra. I know I have only just returned from escorting my mother to your holdings, but I must request she be escorted back to New Dodge by (DATE OF THE YULE BALL HERE IDK THE OOC DATE OKAY). I would ask that if you are in good health, you would come as well. While this is not a Haus matter specifically, it would be remiss of me not to invite my mother or the mother of my first born children, however legally distant I am to be to them, to my wedding.
I would also ask that the reason for the travels not get out. My mother would spoil the surprise if she knew it was anything more than just her son missing her already.
As I would be honoured to attend your wedding, and to escort your mother. Due to timing, I can stay only two days. The children are too young for me to be away longer.
I would like to ask about the dress code.
Lady Kathra Parker
[She’s more willing to attend as she was remiss in sending prompt birth announcements to her children’s father.]
You have my utmost gratitude. I will ensure a room at the Lotus is available for your use with as much of the amenities that you're used to that I am able to provide.
The dress code is formal. The theme colors are white and ice blue with silver and gold accents. You are free to ignore the theme colors if your preference is to make a bolder statement. However, I do ask that when you arrive you allow me to present you with a corsage of Lilac and bells of Ireland. They're the flowers for the wedding party.
I would also ask that you not mention you are coming specifically for the wedding as my groom is not yet aware I will be asking him to marry me - immediately - at the Yule Ball the Lotus is hosting. It's a surprise.
I appreciate the offer of a room. It will allow me to stay on top of business. I will also have a live feed to the twins for your mother.
I will be decked out in gold, as will your mother. I will make sure her attire is appropriate for mother of the groom. Also I will happily receive the flowers.
