[Steve can tell she's nervous and he aches to comfort her. When she places her folded hands on the table Steve reaches across and places one of his own atop them, a gesture that he hopes brings her some measure of support.

He listens, not sure right now is the time to talk. He can tell she needs to get this out and he doesn't want to interrupt her.]

You dog! Is that why you shot down all my date ideas? Too many women?

I like women just fine. I just wasn't interested in those women. I am not and was not really interested in someone who felt like they knew everything about me already and didn't want to get to know Steve.

Yeah. He seems to anyway. It's easy in a way it's only ever been with Bucky. And I wasn't attracted to Bucky.

I think it's supposed to be that way. It is for me and Tony. I know on paper there is no way in hell we would work, but in life, we temper each other. I hope that is what you and Snart do for each other.
