It is! I wanna tease him about it but I'm so damn happy he's not moping anymore that I don't wanna jinx it. He's too much like a damn cat that he'd break it off just to be petulant and prove a point that he doesn't need to prove.

I wonder if I need to give Rogers a shovel talk...?

Maybe I can ask Barnes to do it...either way I'm just really glad he has someone to care about him again.

[She shows up later with a basket full of sandwiches and some potato or pasta salad something Mick packed up for her. There's also two slices of Jefferson's favorite cake as well. And drinks]

Hey, babe. Ready for a break?

[Which means she gets a smile for her efforts.]

Absolutely!

Mick sent over some of the good stuff. [She starts to unpack the basket on the little table they sometimes eat on.]

That was kind of him.

[Jefferson may be one of the few people to ever call Mick 'kind'.]

[She kisses him sweetly and gives him a warm hug before sitting down and starting to plate up food.]

I thought so. He's always been good to us..Lenny and me I mean. I really like that so many other people get to see this side of him too. He's grown and changed so much in this place...I'm so glad he decided to come. It's been good for him. For all of us really.

For a lot of people, I think. I certainly wouldn't have Grace if I weren't here.

[A long story he's...probably explained.]

and I wouldn't have you. [She gently cups his cheek and gazes at him affectionately]

I do love you, my mad hatter. [And she still actually has no idea that he is THE actual Mad Hatter. She was just trying to make a joke]

[And honestly, how does one even bring that up?]

Well, you do have me. Madness and all. [Ha ha?]

[She chuckles happily before pressing a kiss to his forehead]

And I wouldn't have you any other way!

[He'll kiss her back with a grin.]
