I have off after school tomorrow and scheduled an appointment at Ambrosia to get my hair done. It's going back to it's natural black until I see fit to dye it again. For now, I want a change.
Oh my--that's so expensive, though! Are you sure you don't want to do it at home? I can help: my baby sister, CJ, loves to streak her hair. I'm very good with a little baking soda and a lot of elbow grease.
Now stop that. There are shoes to be bought with that money, or other fun things--and what about your next dye job? That part, you do save your money for.
Besides, it'll save you going home with a wet head when the fuse blows.
I'm going to the merchant dome this afternoon to look for dye that will match your color. You can reimburse me for the color if you want, but you cancel that appointment and come to my yurt instead. We'll do your hair, and I'll throw in a pedicure--I found this delicious sugar scrub the other day that will make you think you've died and gone to Heaven, promise.
If you don't start calling me Anne, I'm going to have to come up with something exceedingly embarrassing to do to you in front of that girl you're dating, Mister.
Thank you, though. We're going to have to do something to celebrate. My gut tells me that tacos are in our future.
Every old dog can learn new tricks, and you're still very young. Plus I'm nowhere near old enough or powerful enough to be addressed that way--it's a cultural thing.
But I digress. My sweet summer superhero, my tacos are superior to ALL tacos. But I may send out for some of those desserts from the merchant dome. They actually look like blue churros, and they taste like fruit infused chocolate. I can't decide if it's actual blueberry or raspberry, but they're DIVINE.
Did you know microraptors only eat fish? There's a book on them in the library and I can order a copy from C&P. I didn't know people wrote books on caring for pet dinosaurs, but there it is and considering the current situation?
I might want to keep one of the fish-eating dinosaurs?
The problem with you, my darling boy, is that you're an exceptionally good kid and therefore hard to say no to in good conscience.
Does this book say anything about violent behavior towards mammals? I lost a dog to coyotes back home, I won't lose Hulky to a peeved bitty raptor. If they're nonviolent pescatarians...
Then he can stay. And yes, you can take him on the beach trip with Mal next month. Him...her?...
The only time they get aggressive is when they’re eating and then it’s food aggressive behavior. But for the most part, they’re pretty calm.
It’s a girl. Thinking about calling her Clever Girl. You know, like from that really old movie?
...beach trip? I mean I’d been planning one as like...a surprise. I’m still trying to figure out if we should bring Evie an the new guy, but Evie always looks at me like she’ll step on me if I upset Mal even a little bit and I believe her.
And food aggression can be trained out of dogs...if it works the same for these little critters, we just might be okay.
Let's see if she and Hulky can get along. I actually think that's a super cute name. You're turning me into a pushover, you know. I hope you're proud. <3
Bring Evie and her boyfriend--he will be her boyfriend by that point. And bring Clever Girl. Mal will melt, and you'll become one of Evie's favorite people for recognizing that Mal has a secret fondness for reptiles.
There's a chapter on them being pack animals, but it also says that sometimes you have to introduce them to other animals carefully. Kinda like you're getting them used to being part of a pack, you know? The book says to start them off feeding animals in separate rooms for a while, like a week or two. And then in the same room, but separate sides of the room. SO they get used to that, and then just slowly move bowls closer together. Sounds like a plan, right?
That just makes me want to introduce the two of them sooner rather than later.
When this book comes in from C&P, would you be willing to let me borrow it? Or read through it with you? Because yes, this is actually starting to sound like it's going to work out very well.
I have the copy from the library for a few days. I’m gonna be returning it then so others can borrow it. But I’ve bookmarked a lot in here that should help us out.
Hitting the grocery store before I head home. Do you know of anything else we need that didn't make it to the list? I know I have to grab food for Clever Girl and Hulk and everything else on the list but what else do we need?
Also, if Jack Kelly comes by? Let me know. I'm trying to avoid him. I won a bet, he's trying to pay. I'm not having it. It wasn't a fair bet, really.
Some milk, gouda cheese (they DO have it, I've discovered a few nice imports from home), and a bunch of those fruits that look like bananas, but have the translucent skin like grapes. They're wonderful in fruit salads.
I'll make a note, but explain to me how it wasn't a fair bet? What was the wager?
Remember when I said I was talking to jack and with the way he talked about Evie it was instantly obvious he had a crush?
[ Peters exact phrasing was ’guy was trying to hide his crush in that awkward ”ew gross girls why is she talking about me is she saying good things not that I care but if I did” way and it was ridiculous ]
Full disclosure makes it perfectly legitimate. However, if you're really set on this, I'll be your mole. I won't let him pay up if I can help it.
[It's so easy to lie via text. Watching these two bounce their payout back and forth is going to be endlessly entertaining in the most adorable way possible, bless her noble little spider son.]

Oh, also: are you a vegetarian? I'm making you dinner, too.

I love baking, too. Bring anything you like, I'll make some brownies. We can swap treats and see who wins.

As long as they aren't the taco's from that one stall in the merchant dome. They were okay, but I think your cooking is better.

Do it. Anne is benevolent, Anne is wise. ;D

Oh, that works out beautifully! You return it, I'll check it back out again. Clearly, you're a better and more generous role model than I am. ;P

Re: text: 6/7
Peter Parker, I hope you gave him that advice BEFORE you went making bets about asking out the pretty girl, young man!
