Hey can you take the twins to the park for a little? I just got this odd request from Jemma to verify her DNA findings on one of the artificial womb babies that showed up during the solar flare. One of the parents wants outside verification.

[Cisco really, really wishes that that was the weirdest thing he's ever heard. It's definitely not.]

Sure, babe. I've got a couple hours this afternoon. We can trade off?

[Going back to work at the meta lab has been like a breath of fresh air after feeling so idle, but it's been difficult to juggle that with having infant twins at home.]

Awesome. It shouldn't take too long, she sent me all the data and I just have to rerun it. I'll bring the kids over at ten, maybe we can all have lunch after?

[When Barry meets Cisco and the twins for lunch he's quick to greet the babies before kissing his fiance. He's smiling but a little subdued after breaking the news to a very rattled Leonard.]

Hey.

[Cisco returns the brief kiss, but his eyebrows are already furrowed. He knows Barry's smiles. Like there's a catalog in his head.]

Is everything okay?

Yeah, yeah I just.. I had to tell Leonard that he's the father of one of those children. [And they both know what kind of baggage the word father that can carry for a man like Snart.]

He's good with the twins, but he lets Mom spend the most time holding them.

[Cisco gapes at that. Leonard Snart, a father. He and Snart aren't exactly best friends, but Cisco knows him and his situation well enough to know that that couldn't have been easy news to get.]

Oh man. Is he okay?

You know how he is, plays it off like it's nothing while freaking out quietly.

[He takes Henry in his arms, sitting the baby in the crook of his arm to play with a little as they talk.] The other parent hasn't even been found yet.

I can't even imagine how hard that must have been to hear.

[He wonders what Snart will do. No doubt Nora would take the baby in without hesitation, but what about Snart? Had he ever even wanted to be a father? Probably not with Lewis as a role model.]

Is there anything we can do?

I really wish I could have told him something different. I don't know what he's going to do or even what he's going to tell Mom.

[A smile at the "we" because he's missed that. Barry reaches to squeeze his hand.] We can be there when he and Mom need us I think.

[Cisco squeezes his hand back, nodding in agreement.]

Anything they need. We'll be here.

[Because that's what family does. And while four years ago, the idea of Snart being family would have been absurd, New Dodge has a way of changing things. Sometimes even for the better.]
