[ It doesn't take long for Evie to find out where Jack was staying. Just some light snooping and a bit of stalking. You know; the usual shady VK behavior when they want information or to get something done. Evie had given herself a mission. A small thing she felt she had to do because the way he'd looked when he left her store sat wrong with her for so many reasons. Namely, it showed her that she was wrong and Jack wasn't an Isle boy at all. He was something better. Something good. And something told her he knew what Isle life was like without having been there.
So, watching him a bit gave her a vague idea of some kind of routine and eventually, Evie found a space of time wide enough to leave him a gift.
A messenger bag that she'd sewn herself in blue and black (with a very faint Bad Apple Logo sewn into the shoulder strap), built not only for durability, but it looked fucking awesome and had pockets and space for things like the 100 count tin box of colored charcoal pencils and a leather bound sketchbook that rested neatly inside. And there's a note in her handwriting. Just a small, scrap of paper with the words āIām sorry I upset you. Let's do something sometime that isn't full of depressing talk about horrible places. ~E.ā And being the quick and sneaky thing she is, Evie is long gone before Jack gets home. ]
