Committing. I was invited to take part in some sort of 'Halloween Heist', apparently it's "very fun", so I assume it's not an actual heist. I don't have any other information yet, just that I can invite one person to 'plan' with me.
I have indeed been able to leave. I was planning on making a trip to the shops to acquire a better wardrobe. I should have enough to get at least two decent suits and the appropriate accessories. And maybe something a little more casual as well. I'm uncertain of the quality of the stores here in that regard, but I suppose I shall find out!
Not nearly as good a quality as Gotham, I'm sure. But you should be able to make an off-world trip to find somewhere better. Either to some other version of Earth through the 'Hopper' or a shuttle to another planet.
Right, of course. The Hopper. Which I cannot use to go back to my home for what was it? Six months. I think I shall avoid it for now if it is tied to my survival. I would not wish to risk a medical malpractice on my actual body by pushing something I have discovered so little about.
[Yeah, he still thinks this is all in his head. But he's at least trying to act like it isn't. Most of the time.]
An off world trip via shuttle sounds much more feasible. Have you been on one? Do you have any recommendations?
Apparently there are side effects to frequent hopper use as well, and I don't particularly want to roll the dice on that and find out what 'acidic saliva' is like or 'inexplicable weeping'.

Someone fell off of the meta-labs building.

[ And he thought of Oswald. Apparently. ]

That poor bastard. How terrible.
I see. Thank you for thinking of me. I'd be happy to help you 'plan' whatever it is you end up planning.
[Sounds positively banal, but Edward thought of him and that's kind of neat.]
Yours, Oswald

Yes, and quite a mess.
You're welcome. I look forward to working with on it.
Have you been able to leave the building? I didn't see the ghost in the lobby.

I actually have not. Not yet, anyway.

Than I feel my decision is a wise one.
[WOW]
I'll have to ask around. Perhaps the young lady at C&P will have an idea of where to visit. She's very knowledgeable.

Miss Kringle, you mean? She is bright. Yes. I suppose.
-Edward

Yes, that's her. Ms. Kringle. You don't find her intelligent?
Yours, Oswald

She is. We have a complicated history, and I'm slightly ahead of her in our respective timelines.

I fear written communication is less than ideal for getting nuance across. What is there to suppose about? In regards to her being 'bright'.
Yours, Oswald

I don't mean that she's not bright. I don't know what I mean.
- Edward

That's fine. Do you want me to speak to someone else?
Yours, Oswald

If there were anyone else, I would probably say yes. But I don't think there is anyone else. Just don't ask her about me, if you don't mind.

Dear Edward,
If that's what you wish. I can try to seek others out. Over the public 'TCN'. If that would be preferable.
Yours, Oswald.

Oswald,
I wouldn't want to make you do something you don't want to do. [ Ha ha ha ha cough. ] But if you don't mind?
- Edward

I don't mind in the least. Anything for a friend.

Thank you.
