I think that is a bad idea. Putting something in your brain that you know next to nothing about that can then do things to it? No. From all that you've told me, you've already had your mind messed with enough. I'm against it.
No, I think you're right. There are people in town who have them, I believe, but I don't think they have them in their brain. And there must be other treatments.
...of course, if this does ever get worse, I may change my mind.
I know it is frustrating for you, but you have been improving quite steadily in the time I've known you. You only search for the right word a couple times a day instead of every other conversation. Not that there's anything wrong with with you searching in the first place. I still think that's your mind being faster than your mouth. But I know it stresses you out. And you have been solving the few new puzzles we're able to get several seconds faster than the previous ones. I think you're doing fine on your recovery.
It is frustrating, and I don't want to make the wrong choice. And sometimes it doesn't feel like I'm improving at all, but you say that you see it and I believe you. And I trust you.
[ These things? Would've been much harder to say a while ago. ]
[If they were in the same room, Ed would be witness to Oswald making the stupidest lovestruck face at his watch. He trusts me repeated ad nauseum in his head.]
