So the god thing.

Should I explain that?

I think it might be a good idea, though Wells is being ridiculous.

This is easier to talk about in text, but if you need to do this again in person, well. Fine.

It starts with Barry Allen creating time remnants, about seven of them, to try to fight his worst enemy. Enough of them to hit at every conceivable angle. The result is an absolute slaughter. Every time remnant, except one, killed. It was like he was expecting it. The bodies all vanish, of course, except for one. Me. Obviously, it's me.

This thing, this absolute monster of metal and speed, it basically tore me to pieces. I had a metal blade through my arm, barely missing an artery. My leg and my back were nearly completely broken. My face...well, you've seen the scars.

Obviously, I was in pain. Agony, torture really. And I don't know if I've fully explained this to any of you? Painkillers don't work on speedsters. It's why I can't get drunk. Anyway, in this whole half-blind, agonizing insanity, it occurred to me that Gods don't feel pain. And so, obviously, I decided that I'd make myself a god. All you really need to be one is for people to think you are one. A...lot of things occurred after that that I don't think i really need to get into.

I renamed myself for Savitr, the god of motion. Which you are aware of, who that is. I became "God of Speed" to my followers, and I used my powers to travel back and forth through time to collect them. I found a stone made of calcified Speed Force, and I used it to create metahuman followers. I'm also able to create a sort of medium for myself called Alchemy.

[ Jesus Chritmas this is a long story. ]

After a few years, I went back to 2021, created some armor because of an issue I have that you're well aware of. I fought the Flash. And the time remnants he created. Left one alive. Look at that. Causal time loop. What I didn't know, because of course everyone had shunned me instead of helping me through what had happened to me, was that Barry would trapped me inside the Speed Force.

The things that happen inside the Speed Force that are another topic, I don't know if you want to hear about that but let's just say: imagine being trapped inside your worst memory for ten minutes. Now imagine that's forever.

I still had a telepathic link to the philosopher's stone, which gives me a link to anyone who picks it up and becomes Alchemy. Which allowed me, eventually, to create a new 'cult' in Central City, eventually allowing me to escape the Speed Force and...start a plan that I'm absolutely sure he'll be happy to tell you about to make sure I don't have any friends.

If you have questions, I'm sure I have answers.

First of all, thank you for telling me.

I knew some of this. Your reaction to being called Barry Allen when you first arrived piqued my curiosity. What happened to you, was unwarranted, and you recognize your reaction, while understandable, was problematic.

This is a place of second chances, and I've struggled with that in the past with a few people, but not you. You're using your second chance as well as anyone I've ever met.

My only question is this, do you intend to start a cult, or collect people from other times here? If not, this is a place a second chances.

At this point, I'm so divorced from the identity of Barry Allen that even if I wanted to, I don't think I could be him again. Harry Wells, of all people, should understand not wanting to be associated with the idea of being mistaken for someone who looks almost exactly like you. (And if he gives you any more bullshit, ask him about Zoom.)

Here? I do not. I might have, at one point. When I first arrived. But now...no. I'm fully committed to taking advantage of a second chance.

I can't promise that if I ended up back home I wouldn't continue my plan. My actual *existence* sort of depends on it succeeding. But it doesn't seem to be a concern here.

I'm going to keep the Zoom information for when necessary.

If Wells continues to harass you by using someone else's name, let the council know, as it really is a form of harassment. You are registered with the council as Savitar. You're record is clean. You just cleaned up New Dodge from all the Demodogs. You have every right to continue to use your second chance however you want.

I'll let you know. [ Even now, he's astounded at the reception he's had in New Dodge. It's very different than anything he had back home once he became a remnant. ] I appreciate it.

Please do, though if he tries the same thing with Eve or Glimmer, he might not be that much of a concern afterward.

I have a feeling that if he tried that with Glimmer, he wouldn't be doing much speaking in the future even beyond that.

[ He...may be fine with that. But he has so many issues with Harry Wells even beyond the name. ]

Maybe then he will learn, but it would be a shame for Glimmer. She's done so well recently, with her temper, and with Eve's guidance.

That, I wouldn't know. But I have no reason not to trust you on that, given all that you've done for me.

Let me leave it at this, the only one I would have sympathy for in that situation is Glimmer.

I'll keep that in mind.
