Re: 3/24
...It's about my home. Why I reacted like I did.
Re: 3/24
[She's always liked Silas, and while she briefly noted when Glimmer arrived, considering her complaints, the crowd made it hard to see who was with whom.
She relaxes a little, but she's not sure where this is going.
If anything indicates how little Jemma knows about Glimmer's home, it's this:]
Was it very primitive medical care? I can see that being being distressing. If I'd thought about it, I should've offered up Greene.
Re: 3/24
Compared to home, this place has primitive care.
Medical exams for me...they're never simple though. I'm given tests, painful tests and upon entering the games, having devices implanted in me. I was promised I'd never have to go through anything like that here and hearing I had to get an exam, I was worried you'd be implanting trackers or something equally horrible.
As for sending me home, I'd be dead. I made Silas promise me that if I ever do go home and he can't get me out, he'll kill me before I meet the death I'm supposed to. Threatening to send me home is as bad as threatening to kill me and even with my healing factor, I can still be stung to death. It'll just take longer and draw it out.
Re: 3/24
I had no idea. I wouldn't've suggested it if I'd --
[She sounds utterly horrified. Her voice trails off because there is no apology someone who could never understand the depths of terrible that were the games could understand.]
And I meant more of a let me show you the door, as opposed to forcing you to go home. I was frustrated, and didn't realize you'd see it as a genuine threat.
[There have been a grand total of two people in her life to whom Jemma Simmons has been genuinely threatening. Glimmer was more of a blow off steam.]
Honestly, from your reaction, I thought you were infected.
[From the last two interactions, she expected Glimmer to be infected.]
I'm sorry.
Re: 3/24
There's a reason I'm not trustful of most people here, why I don't trust the medical staff.
[She snorted softly.]
I'm sure my lycanthropy would have cleared any parasite from my system. The only reason I even bothered coming in was because Silas promised he'd be with me and he wouldn't let you put anything in me.
Re: 3/24
So she sticks to the facts. Jemma doesn't have access at the medical files, other than those known to be infected, either by flare or parasite (or random pregnancies).]
I don't dig into the past of New Dodge citizens, unless there's cause, and I have extremely limited access to the medical files. If I had access, you would have been informed.
[Glimmer, bluntly, hasn't even glimmered on Jemma's radar.]
Sadly, the only two absolutes are vampirism and previous infection; those like Adam, or me, because I was affected by the flare. There's some resistance if pregnant, but it's not a guarantee.
And if you'd been infected, we would have been removing something, not adding something to you. The parasites either transfer hosts of kill them, and that was a risk we didn't want to take with anyone in town.
[Jemma was hardly the only on involved with the decision as to how to deal with it, but she's the public face, and thus is trying to explain.
Yet all of these are possibilities that didn't happen, and the reality is where Jemma would like to stay focused.]
And Silas is right. He wouldn't let anything happen to you that wouldn't help. You weren't infected, and no one was being malicious towards you.
[See, it's all fine. Jemma's still going to think Glimmer needs some serious help, but that's for another time.]
Re: 3/24
Just don't ever threaten to send me home again. I only go there on my terms.
[Cutting the feed, she goes to lie in bed and wish she could get drunk.]
