that business proposition we or I took part in regarding the acquisition of a moon has come to fruition and it's...
twins.
[He'd managed to mentally and emotionally prepare himself for the confirmation of a single heir. Twins, however, has sent his mind short circuiting a bit.]
That's... [ More potent than they were expecting? Ed, do not say that. ] that's good, isn't it? She certainly can't say you didn't provide her with what the contracted required, can she?
On the contrary, she's thrilled! Or I can only assume so as she sent along a bag of gems worth enough money to buy the Lotus tenfold. Via hardcopy letter.
Which I will be keeping in a secure location in case a copy of her signature and seal will ever be needed for reference.
As if the moon was my only goal! It's much harder to influence two people than it is one! Especially in their formative years when they're unpredictable!
...that is true. I wasn't really taking that into account. However it still doesn't decrease the difficulty that will exist in endearing them to me once they're of an age to be endeared.
There are already loopholes for that. They were just formed with one heir in mind, not two. But this isn't something that needs going into right now. I have nine months to work things out.
Do I have nine months? She glows a little but she's otherwise perfectly human, right?
She's human, yes. I expect that the glowing is some sort of residual effect of a descendant that was not human, but that's likely why she was so insistant on finding a donor that is 100% human.
Possibly. It's probably gouache to ask about it, though. I need to remember to bring that up with my mother. So she doesn't make a faux-pas I'm not ready to apologize for.

But yes.
Twins.
Mother will certainly be overjoyed.

Re: 6/1 - late afternoon
I was not accounting for the possibility of twins. That changes everything.
Re: 6/1 - late afternoon
It does? What does it change?
Re: 6/1 - late afternoon
Re: 6/1 - late afternoon
I suppose it's a good thing there are two of us then.
