Last time, I had a James also, but it was with someone else. Might be a variation of the same kid with a different coparent.

So these children aren't always facts, just possibilities.

That might break Daisy's heart. She'd be such a good mum.

Yes and no. By virtue of the fact we see them and interact with them, in some timeline they will always exist. Whether they exist in this timeline is up to us. As long as Nica and Allison Young are okay with it, I am curious enough about James' conception and who he is to attempt to bring him into being. And Nica and I were already trying for Sarah, so we can assume she'll be born as well.

If any iteration of Alice Rose is to be, that's entirely up to you and Daisy. But, as my boards keep saying, the match is good.

I suppose it all comes down to the children being wanted, isn't it? I've never thought seriously about it before. I see you and Nica with Seth and he makes you both so happy. I can see Daisy with a child. She's always so good with them, a natural.

But me? I was as much a project as a daughter to my parents. Don't get me wrong, they loved me, but were only happy with me when I was accomplishing something. I don't want to do that to someone, any iteration of Alice Rose, or another child.

[And, of course, in the middle of a serious discussion, in which Harry just got a whole bunch of serious and useful information, he has to bring up her ultra pet peeve.

I didn't think I'd ever have kids, Jemma. I was pretty sure that I'd be dead or worse by the time I was thirty five, and before Nica my relationships never ended well. My best relationship before her was with my best friend, and he died. And before I came here, I don't even know if I would've been a good father. I have...had a tendency to get lost in my head. I still do, sometimes, but with the nanomites it's easier to pull me out of it. Remind me to send you a pdf of my old journal. It's...something.

I mean, there was a reason my dad retired early, and it wasn't because he got enough out of being a salesman.

You're not allowed to die any time soon. I forbid it. It would be a shame, that if in any timeline Alice Rose didn't meet you.

Both of my last relationships ended with my being sucked into a stone, and the other turning to dust, literally. It doesn't make me anxious to try again, and nevermind with a kid. I couldn't recover from that. It's easier not to have people than lose people.

And I'd be really interested in seeing it.

Greene doesn't need me. He likes me. He stays because he wants to. If he wanted to go back to his mother, I'd let him. I can't return a kid to anyone.

If anything happens to me, you guys have my permission to get Eve or whoever else can do it bring me back. Fair enough?

My last relationship before Nica was with a vampire because it seemed less likely she'd die. Instead, she cheated on me and got mad because I hate being treated like a child.
